The relaunch of the Swiss Museum Pass website shows what results when strategic thinking, design quality, and technical precision come together. Initial situation & challenge

At the beginning of the project, the Swiss Museum Pass's existing website Technically outdated and no longer up to date in terms of design.

The digital presence did not sufficiently reflect the cultural significance and appeal of the offerings, standing in stark contrast to the high recognition of the Museum Pass in Switzerland.

The aim was to Complete restart from the conceptual basis to technical implementation. The aim was not a superficial redesign, but a comprehensive relaunch that also presents Switzerland's leading cultural platform digitally at a high level of quality.

Strategy

The relaunch of the Swiss Museum Pass began with an in-depth discovery phase, during which we thoroughly examined the existing website.

Together with the client, we defined clear project goals: The new website should Pick up existing members as well as potential new customers and unite both target groups in a single, coherent experience.

Concept

The Navigation has been radically simplified, This means that intuitive entry points and clear user guidance along the customer journey replace the previous, nested menu structures.

In terms of design, the result combines Swiss precision with cultural warmth. Vivid imagery, generous white spaces and carefully selected typography create a balance between seriousness and accessibility. A consistent design system with defined colors, typography levels and reusable components ensures that the brand can continue to be managed consistently in the long term.

Development

For the technical implementation, we rely on WordPress and Elementor and thus gave the customer Maximum editorial freedom.

Widgets for museum listings, filter functions, and interactive maps, along with consistent performance optimizations through lazy loading, image compression, and caching, ensure that the website not only impresses but also performs at the highest technical level.

An SEO-optimized site structure with structured data as well as a seamlessly integrated Multilingualism in German, French, Italian, and English TranslatePress completes the system.
